What is Camden MSK?

The Camden Musculoskeletal (MSK) Service is a new model of care that will integrate a full range of MSK services available throughout Camden. This will include provisions for your MSK assessment, diagnosis, treatment, advice, education and care planning, as close to your home as is appropriate, based on clinical need.

Camden MSK will be delivering a Single Point of Access (SPOA) for all musculoskeletal referrals made by Camden GPs. The function of the SPOA is to triage, transfer and case manage for both patients and referrers. The SPOA will be managed by a multidisciplinary clinical and administration team, with representation from all Camden MSK partner organisations and consultant specialists.

This will ensure that your care is streamlined, stopping you from being unnecessarily referred back and forth across different MSK specialties, and ensuring that you are directed to the most appropriate service first time.

The lead provider of Camden MSK is University College London Hospital (UCLH) but the service is delivered in partnership with the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, Connect Health, Camden’s GP Federations (Haverstock Healthcare and CHE) and Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust
